Internet Marketing Internship

We are seeking a student, preferably a Senior or grad student in their last year, who is interested in learning the ins and outs of online marketing. This position is a part-time internship, ideally around 15 – 20 hours per week, located at our office in Groton, MA. This is a contractor position with no benefits. There exists the possibility of hiring the student full time after graduation in the spring, depending on our volume of business and performance demonstrated during the internship.

Qualifications:

• We need someone who is bright and energetic because our field is quite broad and constantly evolving.
• They should be detail oriented and have good familiarity with computers. Someone who has done some software development or is good in Math or music tends to have that kind of detail orientation.
• They should have good writing skills, including being a good at spelling and grammar, because our work is linguistic in nature.
• Finally, they need to be creative because our work often involves thinking outside the box.

Internet marketing requires a high degree of meticulous attention to detail combined with a strong creative streak plus good writing skills. Previous experience in online marketing, utilizing social media for business, website design & development, web application development or graphic design would be a plus.

Our work primarily involves optimizing websites for the search engines, managing Pay-Per-Click advertising campaigns such as Google AdWords on our clients’ behalf, and analyzing visitor traffic and behavior using web analytics tools like Google Analytics. Some of our clients are local, some are not.
